At all ARAMARK-Denali properties, the housing is dorm-style and you will be assigned at least one roommate. Some rooms at the McKinley Chalet are able to accommodate 3 people; just let your HR/Housing Manager know if you are in a group of 3 friends who wish to room together. There are 2 different styles of housing; rooms with bathrooms and rooms without bathrooms. The rooms with attached bathrooms share the bathroom with the adjoining room. At the McKinley Village Lodge, all of the dorm rooms have adjoining bathrooms. At the McKinley Chalet Resort, you will be assigned a room without a bathroom if you are a first year employee. You will have access to the Lone Pine, which is the community bathhouse on the Chalet property. The Lone Pine is in close walking distance to all dorm buildings. At our Joint Venture property, none of the rooms have an attached bath. The Erratics (community bathhouse) is in close walking distance to the dorms and condos.
| Room with a bathroom | $17.00/day |
| Room without a bathroom | $15.25/day |
| Meals only (for returning employees) | $12.50/day |
Your room and board is automatically deducted from each paycheck on a bi-weekly basis. If you live in our employee housing, you are required to be on the meal plan.
WHAT’S INCLUDED IN ROOM AND BOARD?
Included in the cost of room and board is your housing and 3 meals/day in the Employee Dining Room (EDR). You will also have access to: shower/laundry facilities, the employee recreation room, Wi-Fi, public computers, on-site parking, and employee activities. Each location has their own EDR, and you can eat at any of the 3 EDR’s, if you are on the meal plan. Employees who live off property can either buy meal tickets, or elect to be on the daily meal plan at a cost of $12.50 per day.
EMPLOYEE ACTIVITIES
At our Denali properties, we have an Employee Activities Manager as well as an Employee Activities Intern, and their job is to make sure you have fun! There is so much to do and see in Denali National Park and the surrounding area, and we know that one of the reasons you have chosen to spend your summer here is to experience all that Denali has to offer. Our employee activities program is here to help facilitate a variety of activities and events, including:
- Softball

Glacier Bay Lodge and Tours
At Glacier Bay, the housing is dorm-style and you will be assigned 2-3 roommates. It is possible that there may be 4 people to a room, but staffing needs generally do not require us to have 4 to a room. All dorm rooms have an attached bathroom. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM and are strictly enforced.

EMPLOYEE ACTIVITIES
Because Glacier Bay Lodge is located on the water, most of the outdoor activities are water-based. Glacier Bay runs boat tours that go “up-bay” into the heart of Glacier Bay National Park all the way to the tidewater glaciers. You will see abundant wildlife on the coast and in the water such as sea lions, mountain goats, puffins, bald eagles, sea otters, porpoises, bears (both black and brown), moose, seals, and whales (usually humpback or orca). As employees, you can take this tour for free on a space available basis.
There are kayaks for employee use; they are all 2-person kayaks. You can go out for a ½ day paddle around the bay or do an overnight trip on the nearby Beardslee Islands. Many employees choose to load up the kayak and take our “up-bay” tour boat to a farther away drop off point and then get picked up by the same boat a few days later. We have all of the necessary gear (kayaks, paddles, spray skirt, etc.). There are also several hiking trails in the area and a campground located ¼ mile from the lodge. Employees also have access to bikes if they wish to ride from the lodge to town. There is a TV area in the Employee Dining Room that has a DVD/VHS player. There are some DVDs available for checkout and many VHS tapes. There is also a large selection of books and board games.
